Arctic Kayak Expedition: Islands & Sea Caves of Nesna

Paddle a sea kayak through the sheltered skerries and hidden sea caves of the Nesna coastline, guided by an Arctic paddling expert. The perspective from the waterline — rock faces, kelp forests, and soaring eagles above — is one no motorised boat can offer.

What to expect

After a thorough safety briefing and paddling orientation, you set out from Nesna harbour into the calm inner waters of the archipelago. Your guide leads you through narrow channels between granite skerries, ducking into echoing sea caves where the water glows turquoise. Birdlife is exceptional — great skuas, Arctic terns, and cormorants nest on the surrounding rocks. The final stretch back to harbour offers a stunning panoramic view of the Helgeland skyline.
