Las Caletas Beach Hideaway: Private Jungle Beach & Water Sports

Reach John Huston's legendary private jungle beach — accessible only by boat — for a full day of kayaking, snorkelling, paddleboarding and hammock time at an immaculate eco-retreat. The lush setting was the backdrop to 'The Night of the Iguana.'

What to expect

The catamaran sails 45 minutes south through Banderas Bay to a secluded cove framed by jungle and crystalline water. Spend the day as you please — snorkelling the rocky reef, paddling kayaks, swinging in beachside hammocks, or exploring jungle paths with a naturalist. A gourmet buffet lunch, premium open bar and live music fill the midday hours before the scenic sail back to Marina Vallarta.

Good to know

Departs Marina Vallarta at 9:30 am and returns by 4:30 pm — comfortably inside most all-aboard windows. Sunscreen (reef-safe), light layers for the return sail, and a dry bag are strongly recommended. Book at least a week ahead; capacity is deliberately limited.
