Sea-kayak among floating icebergs in the shadow of Dawes Glacier, paddling silently through one of Alaska's most dramatic fjords — a once-in-a-lifetime perspective that no motorized vessel can replicate.
What to expect
After a scenic boat transfer into the fjord, you'll launch your sea kayak amid house-sized ice sculptures in shades of cobalt, turquoise, and white. Your guide leads the group at a leisurely explorer's pace, pausing to listen to the living glacier and to observe harbour seals resting mere metres away on private ice platforms. The towering granite walls of Endicott Arm rise on both sides, creating an amphitheatre of wilderness that feels utterly remote. The return boat ride out gives you a chance to warm up, debrief with your guide, and savour the magnitude of what you've just experienced.
