Seabirds & Seals: Private Noss Boat Wildlife Expedition

Circle the Isle of Noss and Bressay aboard the legendary Noss Boat for a front-row encounter with 100,000 seabirds, plunge-diving gannets, grey seals, and porpoises on Shetland's most iconic wildlife voyage.

What to expect

Departing Victoria Pier in Lerwick, the boat glides along dramatic red sandstone cliffs alive with the cacophony of 100,000 breeding seabirds — gannets, guillemots, razorbills, kittiwakes and puffins packed ledge to ledge. The skipper narrates the ecology and behaviour of each species while positioning the vessel for perfect sightlines and photography. Grey and common seals haul out on rocky shores, and dolphins or minke whales occasionally escort the boat. The private charter option gives your group exclusive access to the skipper's knowledge and total flexibility on pace and positioning.
