Anilao Snorkeling Safari from Manila: Worth It?

A full-day snorkeling safari to Anilao gets you out of Manila traffic and into decent marine life about 2.5–3 hours south. Expect three to four snorkel stops at shallow reefs and marine sanctuaries. You’ll see plenty of colorful reef fish, healthy hard and soft corals, occasional sea turtles, and sometimes giant clams. The water is usually clear enough for good visibility (10–20m) when conditions are right, though it can get crowded with other day-trippers on weekends. The boat rides between sites are short, the gear is basic but functional, and lunch is typically included. It’s a solid day trip if you only have limited time in the Philippines and don’t want to commit to a multi-day dive trip further south.
