An ATV tour in Nassau is a half-day guided ride that mixes city streets, coastal views, and a few short off-road stretches. Expect to spend 3–4 hours total, including a safety briefing and stops at a beach, a local bar for a cold drink, and a couple of photo spots. The vehicles are simple automatic quads or side-by-side buggies; you drive at a controlled pace behind a guide in small groups. It’s genuinely fun if you like being in control, but it’s not a rugged backcountry trip—much of the route is on paved or packed gravel roads. Traffic in town can feel chaotic at first, though the guides keep things safe.
The best time is December through April when it’s drier and temperatures sit in the mid-70s to low 80s. Summer and early fall bring heat, humidity, and a higher chance of afternoon showers that turn dirt sections slippery. Expect to pay around $100–$160 per person depending on group size, vehicle choice, and whether drinks or snacks are included. Private tours sit at the higher end.
Pick the shorter 3-hour city-and-beach loop if it’s your first time; the longer 4-hour version mostly adds more highway riding you can skip. Bring a bandana or buff—dust gets everywhere—and wear closed shoes and sunglasses. Skip any tour that promises “jungle” or extreme off-roading; Nassau’s terrain doesn’t deliver that.
