Phuket Beach Club Guide: Worth It?

Phuket beach clubs give you a full day of pools, sunbeds, decent music, and decent food in a more comfortable setting than most public beaches. Expect a lively but not crazy atmosphere — think groups of friends, couples, and some bachelor parties. Music is usually commercial house and EDM at a volume that still lets you talk. The better clubs have decent pools, actual shade, and staff that keep the area clean. It’s not a quiet escape, but it’s a reliable way to spend a hot day without dealing with aggressive vendors or dirty sand.

Best time is December to March when the Andaman Sea is calm and the weather is reliably sunny. Avoid the rainy season (June–October) unless you don’t mind paying for a day that might get washed out. Expect to pay around $60–$130 per person depending on the club and package. This usually covers entry, a sunbed or daybed, a welcome drink, and a food & beverage credit or set menu. Premium spots with better locations or bigger pools sit at the higher end.

Pick clubs that include a proper food credit instead of just entry — you’ll actually eat well instead of overpaying for snacks later. Skip the cheapest “free entry” options that often come with hidden minimum spend or terrible locations. If you’re staying in Patong, choose something central so you don’t waste time on transfers.
