Expect a laid-back 45-60 minute class on the sand with the Mediterranean as your backdrop. Most sessions happen right on the main beaches near the port or Gordon Beach. You'll do a mix of gentle flows, breathing, and sometimes short meditation while the sun sets. The vibe is casual—some locals, plenty of tourists, and the occasional dog or beachgoer wandering past. Instructors are generally good but not always life-changing. Sand gets everywhere, the wind can be strong, and the heat in summer is no joke. It's refreshing and genuinely nice at the right time, but it's not a private retreat.
The best season is spring (March-May) or fall (October-November) when it's warm but not brutally hot and the wind is calmer. Summer evenings work too if you don't mind sweating. Expect to pay around 80-150 NIS for a drop-in class, including mat rental in many cases. Sunset sessions book up faster than morning ones.
Pick a smaller group sunset class if you want decent instruction and nicer light. Skip anything advertised as "advanced" or that promises a full workout—beach yoga is better for gentle movement and the atmosphere. Bring a towel to wipe sand off your feet before savasana and don't overpay for fancy add-ons like sound bowls.
