Should You Do a Candy Factory Tour in Denver?

Expect a straightforward 45-60 minute experience: a quick guided walk along a viewing corridor, workers in hairnets making taffy, chocolates, or gummies, a short video about the company’s history, and a generous tasting session at the end. It’s more industrial than magical—loud machines, functional lighting, and the unmistakable smell of sugar and chocolate. Kids usually love it; adults find it mildly interesting for about 20 minutes before it drags. The gift shop is sizable and pushes novelty candies, fudge, and branded souvenirs.

Best time is weekday mornings in spring or fall when crowds are lighter and tours run on schedule. Summer weekends get packed with families and the wait can stretch. Expect to pay around $8–15 per adult, $5–10 for kids, with toddlers often free. Add another $10–20 if you load up in the shop.

Tip: stick to the fresh stuff made on-site that day—avoid the generic imported candy they also sell. Skip the add-on “chocolate dipping” experience unless you have kids; it’s overpriced and not particularly special. Go once for the novelty, then spend the rest of your Denver time on better food experiences.
