A standard Casablanca city tour is a half-day drive that hits the big landmarks: the massive Hassan II Mosque (outside only unless you book a separate ticket), the old Medina, United Nations Square, and a stop along the Corniche. Expect comfortable but not luxurious transport, a guide who speaks decent English, and a fair amount of time spent in traffic. It's not wildly exciting compared with Fez or Marrakech, but it efficiently shows you the modern port city and its mix of 1930s French colonial buildings and contemporary Moroccan architecture. Most people finish feeling they've seen the essentials without wasting a full day.
Best time is spring (March-May) or fall (October-November) when it's mild and dry. Summer is hot and humid; winter can be rainy. Expect to pay around $35-70 per person for a small-group half-day tour with pickup from your hotel; private tours start closer to $90-150 depending on group size. Skip the overpriced "shopping stops" that many tours include. If your time is short, book the version that focuses on the mosque and Corniche rather than one that drags you through every minor square.
