The Santa Ana cultural museum is a small, straightforward place that gives a decent overview of local history and indigenous traditions. Expect a collection of artifacts, old photographs, some traditional clothing, and a few dioramas. It's not overwhelming – you'll probably spend 45 minutes to an hour inside. The building itself is plain but the courtyard is pleasant for a few minutes afterward. It's best visited in the dry season (December to April) when temperatures are more comfortable and roads are less likely to be affected by rain if you're combining it with other nearby stops.
Expect to pay around $5-8 for entry. Guided tours, if available when you arrive, usually add another $10-15 per person. Go early in the morning to avoid school groups. Pick the upstairs exhibit on local crafts and weaving – it's the most interesting part. You can safely skip the generic gift shop at the end unless you need postcards. Pair it with a walk around the central plaza afterward rather than making it your whole afternoon.
