Expect a mix of flat riding along the Promenade des Anglais and some moderate hills as you swing past the Old Town (Vieux Nice), the port, and up toward viewpoints like Colline du Château. Tours usually last 2–3 hours and move at a relaxed pace thanks to the e-bike motors, so you don’t need to be fit. You’ll stop for photos and a few short explanations about the city’s history and food scene. Groups are typically 6–12 people; the ride feels social but not chaotic. The e-bikes are modern and easy to use even if you’ve never ridden one.
Best time is April–June or September–October when it’s warm but not brutally hot and the crowds are lighter than July–August. Expect to pay around $45–85 per person depending on whether it’s a basic city loop or one that heads further into the hills or a vineyard. Private tours sit at the higher end.
Pick the small-group e-bike tour that includes the Old Town plus a vineyard or hill viewpoint if you want variety; the pure “highlights only” versions can feel a bit rushed and repetitive. Skip the full-day Eze excursions unless you’re very into long rides — they’re tiring despite the motor and eat up an entire day you might rather spend in Nice itself.
