FIFA Museum Zurich: Worth It?

The FIFA Museum is a modern, well-organized space covering the history of football through artifacts, interactive exhibits, and film. Expect to spend 1.5–2 hours inside. You'll see everything from vintage balls and World Cup memorabilia to tactical displays and a large collection of national team shirts. It's clean, air-conditioned, and easy to navigate with decent English explanations. The highlight for most is the immersive history sections and the chance to kick a virtual ball or test your refereeing skills on interactive stations. It's genuinely interesting if you like football at all, but can feel a bit corporate in places.

Best time to visit is spring or early autumn when Zurich weather is pleasant for combining it with a lake walk. Avoid peak summer weekends if possible as it gets busy with families. Expect to pay around $30–45 for a standard adult ticket; combo options with a boat cruise or chocolate factory tour push the total to $90–110. Go in the morning when crowds are lighter and you're fresh.

Tip: Skip the overpriced museum café and grab a coffee nearby. Do buy the standard ticket only – the guided tour adds little value unless you're a hardcore stat nerd. Pair it with a walk along the lake afterward rather than trying to cram it into a rushed half-day.
