Is the Ice Bar in Vegas Worth It?

The ice bar is a 20-30 minute novelty where you step into a room kept at about 23°F (-5°C) with walls, bar, sculptures, and seats all carved from ice. Staff hand you a parka, gloves, and boot covers at the entrance. Inside you get one or two drinks (usually vodka-based) served in ice glasses. It’s cold enough that your breath fogs and your fingers go numb quickly even with the gear. The whole thing is more photo-op than night-out: people pose with the ice art, post on social media, then leave once the chill sets in. It’s fun for 15 minutes, but don’t expect a long hangout.

Best time is December through February when it feels thematically right and the contrast with the desert air is funniest. Avoid summer unless you specifically want to escape 110°F heat for a few minutes. Expect to pay around $35–$55 per person including the coat, one drink, and entry; add $10–20 if you want a second drink or skip-the-line.

Honest tips: Book the earliest evening slot so you’re not rushed and the bar is still clean. Skip the souvenir photos they try to sell you at the exit; your phone works fine. If you’re traveling with kids under 5 or anyone who hates being cold, just skip it entirely.
