The Jardin Majorelle is a compact but striking garden filled with vibrant blue structures, tall cacti, and shaded paths. Expect a peaceful 45-90 minute visit depending on crowds. The on-site Berber Museum is small but well-curated and worth the extra time; the Yves Saint Laurent Museum next door is modern, bright, and excellent if you're into fashion or design. It gets very busy mid-morning with tour groups, so the atmosphere can feel more like a busy attraction than a tranquil garden. The heat and direct sun in summer make the visit tiring despite the greenery.
Best time to go is spring (March-May) or autumn (October-November) when temperatures are comfortable. Expect to pay around $15-25 for garden entry alone, $30-45 if you add the YSL Museum, and $50-80 for a small-group guided combo with transfers. Skip the official on-site café – it's overpriced and average. Go early (first hour after opening) or in the last 90 minutes before closing to avoid the worst crowds. If you're short on time or energy in midsummer, it's fine to skip entirely – Marrakech has plenty of other beautiful riads and gardens that feel less like a checklist item.
