An e-bike tour through Miraflores and Barranco is one of the better ways to see Lima’s coastal neighborhoods. Expect a 2.5–6 hour ride (depending on whether you choose the short or long version) covering 8–25 km. You’ll ride mostly flat coastal paths and quiet streets, stopping at parks, the Malecón boardwalk, street art in Barranco, and often the pre-Inca Huaca Pucllana. The e-bike makes the hills effortless, so it’s comfortable even if you’re not very fit. Groups are small and the pace is relaxed with plenty of photo stops. It’s genuinely enjoyable if you like cycling and want to cover more ground than walking without joining a crowded bus tour.
Best time is May to October (Lima’s dry “winter”) when it’s cooler and there’s far less chance of fog or drizzle ruining the views. Expect to pay around $45–85 per person; shorter morning tours sit at the lower end, while the longer 5–6 hour versions that include both modern and archaeological sites cost more. Book one that includes the boardwalk and Barranco – that combination gives you the nicest mix of ocean views, parks, and street art. Skip the absolute cheapest options; they tend to use poor-quality bikes and rush the experience. Bring a light jacket even in summer – it can get breezy along the cliffs.
