Expect a straightforward deal that gives you entry to most of Geneva’s major museums plus unlimited public transport (bus, tram, boat). The big ones — art, history, ethnography, the Red Cross museum — are all included. You’ll spend a full day or two hopping between them without thinking about individual tickets. Quality varies: some collections are world-class, others feel dated. Crowds are manageable except at the most popular spots on weekends. The pass works best if you’re into museums and plan to visit at least three in a couple of days.
Best time is spring or fall. Summer gets hot and busy, winter days are short. Expect to pay around CHF 80–95 for a 48-hour version or CHF 110–130 for 72 hours. Kids and students get decent discounts. The transport alone is worth a big chunk of that in Geneva.
Pick the Red Cross Museum and the Musée d’Art et d’Histoire; both are genuinely strong. Skip the watch museum unless you’re obsessed with horology — it’s smaller and less engaging than the others. Buy online the night before so you can activate the pass early in the morning and squeeze in an extra site. Bring comfortable shoes; the museums are spread out even with good transport.
