Ocean Park mixes roller coasters, giant pandas, dolphins, and a decent aquarium into one large hillside park. Expect a full day of walking, queues, and a blend of theme-park thrills and animal shows. The cable car ride across the mountain gives nice views but can be slow in bad weather. It's popular with families, so it gets crowded, especially around the panda enclosures and main shows. The polar exhibit and shark tunnel are solid, but the thrill rides are the real draw for older kids and adults.
Best time is October to early March when it's cooler and less humid; summer weekends are hot, wet, and packed. Expect to pay around HK$500–750 per adult for a standard ticket including most rides (kids and seniors cheaper). Add transport, food, and souvenirs and a day easily hits HK$800–1200 per person. One honest tip: arrive at opening and head straight to the polar animals or headland rides first — the queues grow fast. Skip the mediocre dolphin show if you're short on time and focus on the aquarium tunnel and a couple of coasters instead; you'll enjoy it more and feel less rushed.
