Aruba Off-Road Cave Tour: Worth It?

These tours take you in small groups on ATVs or 4x4s through the rugged north coast for 3–4 hours. You’ll bounce along dirt tracks, stop at a couple of limestone caves where you climb in and walk around with headlamps, visit a small animal garden where you can feed iguanas and goats, and usually hit one or two scenic viewpoints or ruins. There’s often a short swim or cliff jump if the group wants it. It’s active, dusty, and genuinely fun if you like being outdoors and don’t mind a few bumps. The caves themselves are modest compared to big mainland systems, but the combination of off-roading and exploring is the real draw.

Best time is January through April when it’s dry and the trails aren’t muddy. Expect to pay around $95–$135 per person depending on group size and whether they include snacks or drinks. Go with a smaller ATV tour if you want more control and fewer people; skip the big bus-style safaris that feel rushed and crowded.
