A large modern sea aquarium with decent-sized tanks, an underwater tunnel, and a mix of sharks, rays, colorful reef fish, and a few bigger pelagic species. Expect crowds, especially around the tunnel and feeding times. The experience is mostly walking slowly while looking at glass; it takes 1.5–2.5 hours depending on how much you linger. It’s air-conditioned and stroller-friendly, which matters in Singapore’s heat. The exhibits are clean and well-lit but feel more like a solid zoo attraction than a mind-blowing wildlife encounter.
Best time is weekday mornings right after opening or late afternoon; weekends and public holidays get packed. Rainy season (Nov–Jan) can be smarter because fewer people brave the outdoor walk from the MRT. Expect to pay around S$35–55 per adult for a standard ticket; kids and combo passes with the water park or other attractions push it toward S$70–90. Adding a guided tour or behind-the-scenes feeding adds another S$20–40.
Honest tip: skip the dolphin show if you’re short on time or care about animal welfare — it’s the most commercial part. Instead, spend longer at the open-ocean tank and the reef exhibits; they’re genuinely impressive. If you’ve already done a good coral reef dive or visited a big aquarium elsewhere, you can comfortably skip this one and use the time and money for something more unique in Singapore.
