Most shooting ranges in Mumbai are basic but functional indoor facilities on the outskirts. Expect a no-frills setup: ear protection, basic instruction, and a selection of pistols and rifles. You'll shoot at paper targets from 5–25 meters. The experience lasts 45–90 minutes depending on the package. It's more “try guns for fun” than tactical training. Staff are usually ex-military or police and keep things safe, but don't expect Western-range levels of luxury or customer service.

Best time to go is November to February when it's cooler and less humid — indoor ranges get stuffy in the Mumbai summer. Expect to pay around ₹4,000–7,500 per person for a decent package that includes 20–40 rounds across 2–3 different firearms. Solo travelers can join group slots, which brings the cost down.

Pick the basic pistol + rifle combo and skip the overpriced “VIP” or Bollywood-themed packages that add little value.
