Las Vegas has a ton of stand-up every night. Expect a mix of big-name headliners in 2,000-seat theaters and smaller club shows with local pros and touring comics. The big rooms feel like polished variety shows with lights, sound, and two-drink minimums. Smaller clubs are tighter, rowdier, and more like traditional comedy rooms where the crowd sits close and the comic can actually work the room. Weeknights are usually looser and cheaper; weekends sell out faster and draw louder bachelor parties.
Best time is fall through early spring (October–April) when it’s cooler and more headliners swing through. Summer is brutally hot and the rooms fill with distracted tourists. Expect to pay around $30–$80 for most club tickets, $60–$150+ for bigger names. Add rideshare, two drinks, and tips and you’re looking at $80–$200 per person total for a decent night.
Pick a club show over a big theater if you actually like comedy; the energy is better and the tickets are cheaper. Skip the free “VIP” hustles on the Strip that drag you into time-share presentations first. Book mid-week if possible, arrive 30 minutes early for decent seats, and don’t heckle the locals—they’ve heard it all.
