Expect a striking, futuristic canopy of 18 steel supertrees up to 50m tall, covered in vertical gardens. The main draw is walking the 128m OCBC Skyway for elevated views across Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay, and the city skyline. At night the trees light up with a sound-and-light show that’s impressive but can feel very touristy. The surrounding area includes the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest conservatories, which are far more substantial and worth combining if you have time. It’s busy, especially evenings, with lots of visitors taking photos on the skyway and at the base.
Best time is late afternoon through evening for cooler temperatures and the light show; avoid midday heat and rain, which is common year-round but slightly less likely December to March. Expect to pay around $8–15 for the Skyway alone, $20–35 if adding one conservatory, or $30–60 for a combined ticket or short guided tour. Entry to the grove itself and the light show is free.
Honest tips: Do the Skyway once at dusk for the best views and photos, then stay for the light show – it’s short but the scale is worth seeing. Skip overpriced guided tours of just the supertrees unless you need narration; the structures speak for themselves. Pair it with the Cloud Forest instead of the Flower Dome if you only have time for one – the waterfall and cooler climate inside feel more rewarding after Singapore’s humidity.
