It’s fun and efficient if you want someone to handle navigation, ordering, and explanations, but it’s not a quiet gourmet experience.

The best time is October through March when the weather is cooler and drier. Avoid July–September if you hate humidity and afternoon rain. Expect to pay around $75–95 per person for a decent small-group tour that includes food and non-alcoholic drinks. Private tours or those with mezcal run higher.
