It’s crowded, especially if you go with a big group, and the experience is more educational than adventurous. The temple visit adds color and context but feels a bit rushed. Overall it’s a solid history hit if you’re into the Vietnam War period; it’s less impressive if you’re mainly looking for nature or relaxation.

Best time is the dry season (December to April). Avoid the peak of rainy season (September–November) when the tunnels get wet and slippery.
