Expect a mix of adrenaline and scenery: you’ll zip through the jungle canopy on lines that range from gentle warm-ups to longer, faster runs with views of mountains, rivers, and occasional ocean glimpses. Most tours last 3–5 hours total including transport, safety briefing, and 8–14 lines. The actual zipping is fun but shorter than people imagine; the real time goes to hiking between platforms, waiting your turn, and getting harnessed. It’s physically easy enough for most reasonably fit adults and kids over about age 8, but you’ll be sweaty, dusty, and harness-sore by the end.
Best time is November through April when it’s drier and cooler. Summer rains make the jungle lush but trails slippery and some tours cancel. Expect to pay around $90–$180 per person depending on how many lines, whether it includes ATV transport, lunch, or a boat ride. Combo tours that add off-roading or waterfalls push toward the higher end.
Tip: pick a morning tour so you’re not baking in the afternoon heat and the lines move faster before the big groups arrive. Skip the longest “extreme” packages if you just want the basic thrill—extra lines often feel repetitive and add more waiting than excitement. Bring a small dry bag for your phone; everything else (harness, gloves, helmets) is provided.
