Ziplining in Las Vegas: What You Should Know

Expect a short adrenaline hit with big views. Most ziplines here are fast and smooth, reaching 40-50 mph, giving you 30-90 seconds of flight over desert canyons or the Strip. The canyon-based ones outside town feel more like a real outdoor adventure with Lake Mead and valley vistas; downtown options like the high-line over Fremont Street are shorter, louder, and more novelty than nature. You'll wear a full harness, get a quick safety briefing, and usually do 3-6 lines in a tour that lasts 2-4 hours total including transport and waiting.

Best time is October through April when it's cooler; summer desert heat makes the experience sweaty and less enjoyable even at 8am. Expect to pay around $80-180 per person depending on location and package. Canyon tours with multiple lines sit at the higher end while single downtown rides are cheaper.

Pick the longer canyon tour if you want the real thrill and scenery; skip the super-touristy downtown lines if you're short on time or money unless you specifically want to zip over the casinos at night. Wear closed-toe shoes and avoid loose jackets that flap in the wind.
