Bran Castle is a medieval fortress built by Saxons in 1377, located in Transylvania on the historical border between Transylvania and Wallachia. Now a museum, it displays art and furniture collected by Queen Marie, with visitors able to explore the interior independently or via guided tour, plus a small open-air museum at the base exhibiting traditional Romanian peasant structures.
