The Gold Museum displays the most important examples of pre-Hispanic art and technological advances developed by ancient Peruvian peoples for extracting, processing, and crafting metal objects, including the world's largest collection of Tumis (ceremonial knives) and significant Frías-style pieces. Visitors can see funerary objects and artifacts from cultures including Moche, Chimú, and Lambayeque, as well as textiles, ceramics, wood, and stone items that comprised the burial assemblies of important dignitaries.
