The Jet d'Eau is a 140-meter-tall water fountain on Lake Geneva that propels 500 liters of water per second at 200 km/h, creating a white spray visible throughout the city. Originally created accidentally in 1886 as a safety outlet for a hydraulic power network, it became Geneva's most iconic landmark and is accessible to visitors via a unique mobile footbridge.
