The Botanical Garden of Rome spans approximately 12 hectares and cultivates thousands of plant species arranged by scientific criteria including taxonomy, ecology, and biogeography. Visitors explore important collections of palms, conifers, roses, bamboo, medicinal plants, and succulents, along with a Japanese Garden, Rock Garden, and historic greenhouses including a Tropical Greenhouse. The garden also features centuries-old trees and is located within the grounds of Villa Corsini, a 17th-century estate once home to Queen Christina of Sweden.
