
Quiapo Church is a Minor Basilica and National Shrine in Manila that houses the Jesús Nazareno, a dark statue of Jesus Christ venerated by devotees and regarded by many as miraculous. The church, founded in 1588 and rebuilt in its present reinforced concrete form between 1933-1935, features Mexican baroque architecture and serves as an active Catholic parish dedicated to Saint John the Baptist.
