What to expect
After a fitting and safety briefing, you paddle in small guided pods away from the main landing crowds into quiet bays. Leopard seals, crabeater seals, and gentoo penguins often surface within feet of the kayaks. Guides read ice and wildlife behavior in real time, adjusting the route for the best encounters. Sessions run 1.5-2.5 hours depending on conditions.
