What to expect
Wrapped in a survival suit, you head out past Reine's rorbuer into open water, then thread into Kjerkfjorden's near-vertical walls, where sea eagles often circle overhead. The skipper cuts the engine to drift in the quiet, points out old fishing grounds and WWII history along the coast, and, sea conditions permitting, gets close to seal colonies. It's cold, fast, and completely unlike watching the same coastline from a deck rail.
