Go out with a working Lofoten fisherman to jig for cod or halibut in the cold, clear waters below the Moskenes peaks, then grill the catch dockside.
What to expect
The skipper reads the tide and takes you to a spot he knows is holding fish that week, handing you a heavy jig rod rather than a rental rod-and-reel setup. Cod, coalfish or halibut come up fast in these nutrient-rich waters, and mid-trip your skipper points out the dramatic Lofoten Wall as backdrop. Back at the quay, he fillets and grills the best of the catch over an open flame, served simply with flatbread and butter.
Good to know
