The path climbs briefly through dry coastal forest with views over turquoise water before dropping to a second black-sand cove ringed by cliffs. Locals fish from the rocks and fishing boats bob just offshore. It's the kind of unbranded, unhurried scene a Martiniquais would actually send a friend to see.
