The only distillery in Scotland still making whisky by an older, near-vanished traditional method — a small, informative tour and tasting with the people who run it.
What to expect
You walk through a working, unglamorous still house where the process is explained hands-on by whoever is running it that day, often the owner. The tasting afterward covers cask samples you won't find bottled elsewhere. It's intimate by necessity — the place is small — which is exactly its appeal.
Good to know
Call ahead to request the private tasting add-on and confirm tour times, as staff numbers are limited and it can close for production days.
