Corrieshalloch Gorge: Guided Nature Walk & Viewpoint

A dramatic mile-deep gorge and waterfall roughly 45 minutes from the loch, walked with a Trust ranger who knows its geology and folklore rather than rushed across the suspension bridge alone.

What to expect

You walk boardwalk trails through birch woodland to viewpoints over a 60-metre waterfall plunging into a mile-long gorge, with your guide pointing out geological detail and local stories along the way. The suspension bridge crossing is genuinely vertigo-inducing in the best way. It's short enough to pair easily with another stop on the way back to the ship.

Good to know

Arrange the ranger walk ahead of time; the free car park is small and fills fast, so an early or late-morning slot works best against ship timing.
