A short, guided coastal hike to the Bubbly Pool, a tide-fed rock pool that churns like a jacuzzi when the surf hits — the island's true hidden gem.
What to expect
Your guide meets you in Great Harbour and drives or hikes you out toward the East End, past goats and old stone walls, to a trailhead near Foxy's Taboo restaurant. A 15-minute walk through dry coastal scrub opens onto the Bubbly Pool, a natural rock pool where incoming swells surge through a narrow channel and froth like a spa. You'll have time to swim, photograph the surrounding cliffs, and hear the guide's stories of island life before heading back.
Good to know
Wear reef shoes — the trail and pool floor are rocky. Best at mid-to-high tide for the 'bubbly' effect; ask your guide to time it. Easily done in under three hours, well clear of ship departure.
