Trade the reef for the rainforest: a guided hike to Palau's tallest waterfall followed by a quiet walk through a Babeldaob village with a local storyteller.
What to expect
A monorail cart carries you into the jungle canopy before a short trail leads to the base of Ngardmau Falls, where you can swim in the cool pool beneath it. Afterward, you walk through a Babeldaob village, learning about taro patches, traditional bai meeting houses, and Palauan clan structure directly from your guide. The day ends with fresh fruit and a slow drive back along the coast.
Good to know
Wear water shoes for the slippery falls trail; bring insect repellent for the jungle sections. This half-day tour leaves ample buffer before evening departure.
