Fontainhas Walk & Home-Kitchen Goan Lunch

Wander the pastel Latin Quarter of Panaji with a local food guide, then eat a home-cooked Goan Catholic meal in a family's actual dining room, not a restaurant.

What to expect

Your guide meets you at a quiet corner of Fontainhas and walks you through the azulejo-tiled houses, explaining the Indo-Portuguese domestic architecture and the Catholic-Goan identity it holds. You'll then be welcomed into a home for a leisurely lunch of sorpotel, recheado fish, and sannas, with the family sharing stories over the meal. It's unhurried, personal, and the food is markedly better than anything commercial.
