The Hassan II Mosque rises over the Atlantic on a promontory built for eternity — its 210-metre minaret the tallest on earth. The official guided interior tour is the only way non-Muslims may enter, and it is genuinely unmissable.
What to expect
An official foundation guide leads a small group through the vast prayer hall, its retractable roof open to the sky above 25,000 worshippers. Zellige tilework, hand-carved cedarwood, and Italian marble stretch in every direction; the glass floor panels reveal the Atlantic beneath your feet. The tour continues through the hammams, the ablution halls, and the museum-quality lower level. The experience closes with unobstructed views of the sea terrace — the most photogenic spot in Casablanca.
Good to know
Tours depart at set times (typically 09:00, 10:00, 11:00, 14:00 & 15:00). Closed Fridays and during prayer times.
