Caxadaço & Red Beach Schooner: Ilha Grande's Secret Bays by Boat

Cruise to Ilha Grande's most secluded and photogenic beaches — rusty-sanded Praia Vermelha and the wild cove of Caxadaço — aboard a private schooner with a local skipper and gourmet picnic. The island at its most beautifully untouched.

What to expect

Your private schooner departs Abraão pier and rounds the island's wild southern coast, calling first at Praia Vermelha — 'Red Beach' — whose iron-rich crimson sand and pellucid shallows are unlike anywhere else in Brazil. Swim, snorkel the reef, and dry off on deck as the crew lays out a feast of local cheeses, tropical fruits, cold cuts, and chilled Brazilian wine. The schooner then ghosts into the glassy cove of Caxadaço — reachable only by sea — where jungle tumbles straight to the waterline and the silence is absolute. Return through golden-hour light.
