What to expect
The centrepiece is a vast 70-metre infinity pool where 38–40°C geothermal water flows over a dramatic edge toward the open ocean. The Skjól ritual guides you through a cold freshwater plunge pool, a dry Finnish sauna, a fog steam room, and a mineral body scrub applied in the cave-like mist chamber. The on-site Smakk Bar serves Icelandic craft beers, small plates, and aquavit — perfect post-ritual. The entire experience is calm, curated, and deeply restorative.

Sky Lagoon is located in Kársnes Harbour, approximately 7 km (15 minutes) from the Reykjavik cruise pier by taxi or rideshare. Pre-book a timed entry at skylagoon.com — the Sky package includes the full Skjól ritual and is strongly recommended over basic entry. Allow 2–3 hours minimum; 4 hours is ideal.
