What to expect
You board an elegant, purpose-built catamaran in Maalaea Harbor — a short drive from Kahului — and sail south to Molokini's protected marine sanctuary. Visibility in the crater commonly exceeds 100 feet, revealing parrotfish, moorish idols, and reef sharks below. After snorkelling the crater, the boat repositions to Turtle Town, where Hawaiian green sea turtles (honu) graze gracefully in the shallows. A continental breakfast and a generous deli lunch are served on board, alongside open-bar beverages on the return. Gear, wetsuits, and instruction are included.
Good to know
Maalaea Harbor is approximately 15 minutes by taxi from Kahului pier. Morning departures (typically 7:00 AM) offer the calmest water and best visibility. Confirm your all-aboard time and allow 30 minutes' travel buffer each way.
