Trek through the wild, fragrant macchia of the Portofino Natural Park along a cliff-edge path to the 1900 lighthouse at Punta del Capo — one of the most dramatic coastal panoramas in the Mediterranean.
What to expect
The trail begins at the edge of the village and enters a canopy of stone pines and Mediterranean scrub. Your private guide points out endemic flora and the ruined watchtowers that once guarded this coastline from Saracen raids. At Punta del Capo, the lighthouse commands an uninterrupted horizon — one of the most photographed natural viewpoints on the Riviera. The return path winds back through olive terraces with the pastel village and its harbour yachts laid out below you.
Good to know
Round trip is approx 5 km / 2–2.5 hours at a relaxed pace. Wear proper walking shoes — the path is rocky in sections. Best in morning before heat builds; carry water. Easily combined with Castello Brown (en route). No entry fee for the park itself.
