What to expect
Your guide meets you at the port and drives north through the cultural heartland of Bali to Tirta Empul near Tampaksiring, a royal water temple dating to 962 AD. Next comes Tegallalang: terraced paddies cascading down a valley, alive with the sound of traditional subak irrigation water channels. A riverside warung lunch and a stop at an artisan silversmith round out the day. Expect to be back at the port with comfortable time to spare.
