Glide by private speedboat through 42 emerald islands of Ang Thong National Marine Park — a UNESCO-protected archipelago of limestone karsts, hidden lagoons, and electric-blue waters that inspired 'The Beach.' This is Ko Samui's single most spectacular natural escape.
What to expect
Your private speedboat departs early from the pier, skimming past dozens of uninhabited karst islands draped in jungle. Kayak into the famous emerald lagoon of Ko Mae Ko, hike to the panoramic viewpoint for that iconic horizon shot, and snorkel pristine coral gardens teeming with tropical fish. A fresh Thai lunch is served on board or at the park's beach, and the crew handles all park permits so you simply arrive and explore. Back on Ko Samui well before all-aboard.
Good to know
The park is roughly 30 km northwest of Ko Samui — about 45 minutes by speedboat. Book the earliest departure (7–8 AM) to beat day-trippers and maximise time. Pre-book directly; the park requires advance permits in peak season. All-aboard is typically 5–6 PM; full-day tours return by 4 PM.
