Descend through crystal-clear subtropical water onto the HMAS Brisbane, one of Australia's most celebrated purpose-sunk dive wrecks. Encrusted in coral and teeming with marine life, this decommissioned destroyer is a world-class underwater spectacle.
What to expect
The HMAS Brisbane lies in around 28 m of water off Mudjimba Island, a 20-minute ride from Mooloolaba Marina. Two guided dives explore the hull from bow to stern — swim through the engine room, peer into gun turrets, and watch enormous maori wrasse drift through corridors of staghorn coral. Visibility regularly exceeds 15 m. Between dives, enjoy a hot debrief on the dive deck with snacks and a view of the Sunshine Coast skyline.

Certified Open Water (or higher) required. Bring proof of certification. Sunreef also offers Discover Scuba (introductory) dives for non-certified guests. Book directly and allow a full morning — approximately 4 hours on the water. Mooloolaba Marina is a short taxi from the pier.
