Blast out by speedboat to the crystal-clear waters of the Cham Island Marine Reserve — one of Vietnam's only UNESCO Biosphere Reserves — for small-group snorkelling over thriving coral gardens teeming with tropical fish. Pure, untouched, and exhilarating.
What to expect
A sleek speedboat whisks you 18 km offshore in under 30 minutes, arriving at turquoise shallows where hard and soft corals shelter clownfish, parrotfish and sea turtles. Two dedicated snorkel stops allow exploration of distinct reef micro-habitats. A freshly prepared Vietnamese seafood lunch is served on the island before a leisurely return. The marine reserve's restrictions on mass tourism mean visibility and marine life density are exceptional.
Good to know
Season: March–August offers the calmest seas and best visibility; the reserve can close Oct–Feb due to swell. Depart Tien Sa by 8 am to complete two snorkel stops and lunch comfortably before a 4 pm all-aboard. Full snorkel equipment provided; reef-safe sunscreen is mandatory on the island.
